Sole Sisters was birthed in 2008 when three friends, Jules Moody, Lisa Sequeira and Ann Christler began meeting together to train for their first half marathon. Journeying together with the support and encouragement that a sisterhood provides, they bonded as they achieved the goal they set out to complete
What started small has grown into a tribe of over 1,000 women in multiple different locations. This has been accomplished through the leadership provided by volunteer coaches who set the pace to reach one common goal. Sole Sisters is a movement of women who gather to build strong bodies and even stronger friendships.
Jessy Lee, the spirited running coach of Sole Sisters in Wilsonville, now leads the charge for the program and community. She carries the torch with unwavering enthusiasm, drawing inspiration from the wise counsel of The Sole Sisters leadership team (affectionately known as Team J—comprising Jules Moody and Jenelle Reid). Together, they’re creating a vibrant sisterhood, where strong bodies and lasting friendships thrive!
As a mom of three, Jessy gets it—finding time for yourself can be tough. But she’s all about making it easier for women. Her passion? Creating opportunities for women to do something good for their bodies and make meaningful connections while doing it.
Sole Sisters Half Marathon in Wilsonville is a celebration of sisterhood, where women walkers, joggers, and runners of all ages unite. The scenic (timing optional) course winds along the Willamette River & Wilsonville’s charming streets.
This empowering event fosters strong bodies and lasting friendships.
The event is managed by sHERo running and is presented by J. Hill Property Management Group.
A portion of race funds are generously donated to local charities including Young Life, Oregon Adaptive Sports, The American Red Cross, Africa New Life, and the MS foundation.
